Join us in fostering a deeper devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus within our parish and community. Through targeted prayer and council-led devotionals, we petition Our Lord to conform our hearts to His divine image. In doing so, we strengthen our fraternity and empower our members to serve others with the authentic, sacrificial love of Christ.
Through the Knights of Columbus Pilgrim Icon Program, local councils are hosting a Sacred Heart Holy Hour to bring communities together in prayer and devotion. Central to this service is a beautiful icon of the Sacred Heart of Jesus—a reproduction of Pompeo Batoni’s famous 1767 masterpiece venerated in Rome's Church of the Gesù. Blessed by Pope Francis through the Papal Almoner, this image is one of more than 300 pilgrim icons currently traveling across the globe from council to council.
The Sacred Heart Holy Hour offers a profound spiritual experience featuring Scripture readings, Papal reflections, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and moments for silent prayer, with options for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. To extend this devotion beyond the church, participating families are encouraged to fulfill the Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in their homes, dedicating a place of honor to the image through a special family ceremony. This initiative continues a powerful Knights of Columbus tradition of faith and fraternity that began with the first traveling pilgrim icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe in 1979. Over the decades, this enduring program has brought together some 23 million participants across more than 191,000 council and parish prayer services worldwide.
