The South Texas Area Chapter unites councils in the Diocese of Laredo to strengthen the mission of the Knights of Columbus through collaboration, service, and fraternity. Organized as a nonprofit, its purpose is to support the Order within the diocese and conduct at least one major chapter‑wide activity each year, always complementing—never competing with—State or local council initiatives. All funds raised are dedicated to charitable, educational, or religious purposes. This chapter exists to support and strengthen councils, not replace them, and ensures the Diocese of Laredo is represented at the State Council and Supreme level.
The chapter is committed to:
Raising awareness and funds for diocesan ministries, including vocations, evangelization, and pro‑life initiatives.
Supporting seminarians and postulants, especially those discerning their vocations within our diocese.
Organizing Community Plate events to honor and uplift clergy.
Sponsoring participation in State and Supreme Conventions to build unity and engagement.
We believe this chapter will be a strong instrument of service and fraternity, rooted in our commitment to the Church and guided by pastoral leadership.
Call to action: Unite councils. Support diocesan ministries. Build fraternity. Advance the mission of the Knights of Columbus with clarity and purpose.
